Cottonwood Treatment Center offers a year round, self-paced, individualized, educational program.  The student educational program is a collaboration between students and the guidance team in planning a learning program tailored to each individual.

Cottonwood implements an integrated, non-traditional curriculum based on mastering practical competencies.

Cottonwood's teaching strategies compliment the clinical, diagnostic, and intervention approach in helping to facilitate inquiry-based, participative learning.

Traditional education tends to provide answers to questions that haven't been asked.  Cottonwood's vision of expanding islands of competence is to provide residents the opportunity to ask questions, and through their own individualized program, find their own answers.

Cottonwood's goal is to graduate self-directed, work-ready members of society.
