The Cottonwood Treatment Center is an 82 bed secure Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility located in Salt Lake City. Our philosophy is to treat every resident with dignity and respect and as a unique individual, deserving a high quality of care and treatment in a safe and secure environment. Our goal is to reduce the resident’s symptoms of mental illness while providing opportunities to develop the required skills and abilities to safely return home or to a less restrictive community based placement (group home, foster home independent living).

Cottonwood Treatment Center provides specialized residential programming with 24-hour care. Many of our residents have not been successful in less restrictive settings or other psychiatric treatment programs, and present a complex array of behavioral, developmental and psychiatric problems. Cottonwood Treatment Center has specialty programs for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and other developmental disabilities. Treatment is provided by American Psychiatric accepted guidelines and best practices.
