Neurofeedback training is a breakthrough in the non-drug treatment of affective, behavioral, learning, substance abuse and stress- related problems.

What causes the brain's dominant frequencies to get stuck?

While genetics and birth complications can certainly be contributing factors, the best single explanation is unresolved traumatic stress. It is well documented that unresolved post-traumatic stress pushes the brain into patterns of chronic over-stimulation, causing an inability to recover. Eventually, the traumatically stressed out brain must, for its very survival, shut down via depression, anxiety, memory loss, and other “protective changes in brain function.

The plasticity of the mind and body allow us to re-learn and change. Neuronal strategies simply relax and release the brain into more healthy, adaptive patterns.

We assist optimal neurofeedback training protocols as well as possible medication prediction services through providing each resident with a QEEG (Quantified electroencephalography) assessment

After the resident is able to demonstrate an ability to replicate the state of emotional regulation through the use of biofeedback, he or she is provided with a QEEG which provides a clear and detailed assessment which not only supports an accurate diagnosis, but also provides appropriate training neurofeedback protocols.

A non-invasive cap with 19 sensors is placed on the resident's head to gather raw EEG data. It is similar to a brief motion picture of 19 channels of brainwave activity. This raw data is then put through a quantifying process which is compared to FDA approved data banks which are culture free.

The data is sorted into a wide range of information which includes vast information, of which there is information concerning head trauma, IQ, learning styles and supportive information about mental and physical health diagnosis. We use this information to drive the neurofeedback training protocols and can also use this information to make medications predictions if our psychiatrists feel this adjunctive tool is necessary in medication prescribing.

The QEEG provides us a clear map for training protocols in order to address specific to affected areas of the brain which are not functioning in an optimal manner.

Neurofeedback & Motion Therapy are powerful enhancements to residential health care

Neurofeedback is the monitoring of brainwaves with the goal of changing abnormal patterns. We use a multi-dimensional system which provides a learning strategy that enables residents to alter their brainwaves by fine-tuning the brain's own regulatory mechanisms.

We have several EEG driven systems. We provide reward to healthy brainwave patterns. We provide rewards through visual, auditory and tactile and motion feedback to gently nudge the brain and body out of undesirable patterns.

EEG training and neuronal regulation works by placing sensors, which act like powerful microphones, on the forehead or scalp which identify and monitor the brain's dominant frequency.

The dominant frequency is the EEG brainwave with the most power, giving it the ability to control your brain's level of arousal, alertness, and flexibility. Neurofeedback, photic and auditory stimulation, along with motion therapy allows the dominant frequency to become unstuck and adaptable again.

Our NeuroMotion System is a suprasensorial experience which extends and elevates perception far beyond our normal capacity. The multisensorial effects of synchronized light, sound, vibration and motion create a pattern interruption which pulls one out of one's non-productive, habitual looping process.
